"Osaka, The Museum", Best Selection Guidelines

  1. 1. Purpose
    The purpose of these guidelines is to select candidates for the "Osaka, The Museum" Best Selection. Only the best and most attractive museum exhibits qualify, as they will be promoted to people in and out of Osaka.
  2. 2. Items & Classification
    Approximately 60 items will be chosen from among the items registered with "Osaka, The Museum."
  3. 3. Selection Method
    1. (1)Selection Process
      Members of the "Osaka, The Museum" Concept Planning Committee screen the registered exhibits that received the most votes. The "Best Selection" items will be ultimately selected by the Governor of Osaka, though the Committee can recommend the candidate items to the governor.
    2. (2)Voting
      In addition to residents of Osaka Prefecture, anybody who likes or has interest in Osaka can vote, however voters can only vote for one item within each genre classification.
    3. (3)Adjustments
      The Osaka Prefectural Government shall jointly discuss with municipalities and/or related parties, whether or not an exhibit is appropriate for the Best Selection.
  4. 4. Public Announcements
    Results shall be announced on the Osaka Prefectural Government Website.
  5. 5. Publicity
    Best Selection items will be used to publicize "Osaka, The Museum" through the net, on posters, calendars and other Museum promotion media.
  6. 6. Removal
    The Governor of Osaka shall have the right to remove items on the Best Selection list in instances where such removal is deemed necessary.
  7. 7. Changes
    These rules shall be subject to change where necessary, when there are requests for such changes, or there are comments forthcoming from members of the "Osaka, The Museum" Concept Planning Committee, related municipalities or Osaka residents.
