To promote the best of "Osaka, The Museum" to people living in and out of Osaka, we conducted a poll to decide which out of the 971 registered candidates (as of January 27, 2009) should be nominated to represent "Osaka, The Museum." More than 3,500 people voted, with the number of valid votes being approximately 6,500. (The polling period was from January 27th through February 28, 2009.)
61 items were selected after the items that received the most votes were screened by a committee of outside experts. The result was announced on March 25th, 2009.
We will use opportunities such as tie-ins with information magazines, media networks that produce travel information programs, and universities to publicize the Osaka Best Selection to the world. In these ways and more, we aim to make "Osaka, The Museum" known to the citizens of Osaka and to the rest of the world.
